Born and Raised - I was born in Squamish in 1972, and have grown with the changes which have taken place in our exciting market.
Professional and Up-To-Date - Having worked in the legal field for 13 years, spending time in conveyancing and working with contracts, I completed the extensive real estate licensing course through the University of British Columbia, and earned a license with The Greater Vancouver Real Estate Board in 2003. I have completed extensive "hands on" training, as well as completed (and continue to regularly attend) various training through the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver and the Real Estate Association.
I have been "certified electronically" and make it a priority to remain technologically and electronically up to date, as I will always ensure that my office is 100% mobile. This puts my client's at ease, knowing that I am extensively trained "on-line" and can communicate, as well as carry on business in this way.
I am trained as a SENIORS REAL ESTATE SPECIALIST, a designation for REALTORS® to address the needs of home buyers age 50-plus. The SRES Council trains REALTORS® to meet the special needs of maturing Canadians when selling, buying, relocating, or refinancing residential or investment properties. The Council tracks senior-specific lifestyle and housing issues and educates REALTORS® who are making clients age 50-plus a part of their overall business plan. By earning the SRES® designation, REALTORS® are prepared to approach mature clientele with the best options and information for them to make life-changing decisions.
I have been trained and am a memer of NAGAB, the National Association of Green Agents and Brokers - an organization dedicated to Positive Environmental Change.
I am an active member of this community. A member of COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS CARE, a group of individuals who organize, collect, and distribute food and toys for families less privileged in our community, for Christmas. I play an extra large role with the HEART AND STROKE FOUNDATION, as Zone Leader for Squamish's February door to door campaign. I also organize the SALVATION ARMY CHRISTMAS KETTLE campaign for November and December. I sit as a Director on the Boards for SQUAMISH COMMUNITY FOUNDATION and the SQUAMISH SENIOR CITIZENS SOCIETY.
